Using traditional fairytales, this hysterical show will have your learners dreaming up new versions of either Grimm’s or Anderson’s tales. Your storyteller will enact three tales with the help of the audience in an interactive theatre style using the art of improvisation. Some students will be cast members and we might need a narrator or three. Your children will choose the props and costumes for each tale too.
Once your pupils have chosen story word substitutes…your improviser will deliver the new and improved versions of the tales.
This is a great way for them to view and experience different types of acting and performance styles in a single hour.
The joy of this show is that each performance is unique and completely dependent on the students input. It’s a fun and empowering experience for them to be master storytellers!
We provide follow up activities for using improvisation in storytelling, writing and performance.
